We are currently focussing on the Anonimo Bolognese treatise. You can purchase the text here. This system, from the early 1500s, has a range of weapons and systems, such as sword and buckler, two handed sword, sword and armoured gauntlet, poleaxe and sword vs polearms. We also intend to dip in and out of some of the other, slightly later, Italian Sidesword traditions to broaden our understanding.
As before, once every few months we will do a month on something completely different to encourage students to carry out their own research into the wide range of systems available to HEMA practitioners.
